A Time of Serious Fun
“A time of serious fun” is a 30 to 50 minute program by Ed and Donna Handkins presented through music and humor. Every story has a serious point wrapped in humor. Some stories have deep spiritual meaning while others illustrate practical things of life. The music can involve piano and vocal solos as well as group singing.
The presentation can be adapted for almost any type of audience. It works well with adults and senior adults.
A several stories are used in one set called “Lessons I have Learned.” They use humor to show some lessons for life.
Here is an example. Four crows on a fence watched a lady put out a pan of fresh cooked prunes on the window sill to cool. Each crow in turn landed on the handle of the pan and ate as many prunes as it could hold and flew away in different directions. Each crow made it only 500 feet and dropped dead. The moral of the story is, “Don’t fly off the handle when you’re full of prunes.”
You can contact Dr. Handkins to see if this type of program would work well in your situation.
